Today my husband and I are celebrating our one year anniversary! It’s hard to believe that one year ago today on a HOT 103 day I married my best friend in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Today I’d like to share with you some of our wedding photos and our short 3 min wedding video. If you have a little longer than 3 min, check out our short film of our entire wedding day summed up in about 20 min. Enjoy!

Whew its been a while since I’ve written a post! My husband and I are currently moving to a little farm about 5 min from our current location and we couldn’t be more excited! But with moving comes a ton of stress! We’re finally starting to settle down in our little cottage and really enjoying the beautiful countryside of New Jersey (yes believe it or not there is country life in New Jersey).
Today, I wanted to share with you an inspiration board I put together of a few inspiring photographs and some typography elements I am using for an upcoming Save the Date Booklet I am working on! Angela and Eric are having a rustic wedding in the woods in Pennsylvania and are using my favorite color combination of purple and green. As I was browsing Pinterest for inspiration, I found a TON of rustic wedding goodies from photography to the flowers. I am having so much fun with this wedding theme and I can’t wait to see the outcome! Stay tuned for the final product!

I have to say searching for bridesmaid gifts was one of the most stressful parts of planning my wedding. I really wanted to let my bridesmaids know how special they are and wanted to find the perfect gift they could use even after the wedding. Because my wedding was at the beach, I wanted my maids to be as comfortable as possible. So after the ceremony I told them to kick off their heels and slip on a pair of JCrew purple flip flops (kind of like the ones below except purple). In addition to the flippies, I included jewelry accessories to wear on the wedding day. But the challenge I faced was finding something different for each bridesmaid. I ended up going with a simple necklace and earring studs for the girls that wore the strapless dress and a bracelet and hoop earrings for the girls that wore the one strap. The jewelery was simple enough for the girls to wear again after the wedding. Remember, not all of the bridesmaids have to match exactly!
I’m hoping to help you future brides with this collection of bridesmaid gift ideas! Remember, you don’t have to go the traditional route and give jewelery. A nice little thank you gift will do just fine. Just make sure let your bridesmaids know what kind of jewelery (if any) you would like them to wear the day of the wedding. One source I absolutely recommend is Etsy, especially if you want a customized unique gift. Most of the time, you can message the seller and ask them if they could make a completely custom item for you. Crafters love custom items!! The best part about Etsy is everything is handmade, made from the heart and reasonably priced! Just make sure if you are ordering a custom item, to give the seller enough time to make the product.
