We’re wrapping up a destination wedding save the date booklet and I wanted to share with you some of the inspiration behind the design and a sneak peak of their save the date! Ann & Richard are having a destination wedding in Maine and wanted to include colors of gold, black, and ivory accompanied with traditional and chic modern elements. Wow its been some time since I’ve blogged! Hurricane Sandy hit pretty hard in our area and we were left without power for about a week. Although having no power for a week seemed like an eternity, we were very very lucky to have no damage to our home and everyone is safe. Now that things have calmed down, gas lines are back to normal, and power is restored for 99% of our area, I’m jumping into full swing with some exciting projects ahead!
One exciting project I am working on is a booklet invitation for my bride Karen who is having a destination wedding in Aruba! We’re just about wrapping up with the final design but in the meantime, here is a little wedding destination inspiration I pulled together and a sneak peak of her designs!
My bride Cassandra came across my very own save the dates and instantly feel in love with the color combination and style. Cassandra is getting married at the Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte North Carolina and really wanted to have a modern feel to her invites but with a hint of traditional. I encounter couples with two separate styles quite often and although it can be challenging, the outcome can be quite stunning. Cassandra also wanted to play a little bit off her fiance’s last name “Rose” and wanted to incorporate a rose motif in her suite. We ended up accenting her purple envelopes with custom designed envelope liners that coordinated with her overall design. I always recommend envelope accents. Its that little extra surprise when your guests open up your invitation. Congratulations to the future Mr. & Mrs. Rose!
